Key Requirements for Company Registration in Singapore
In order to register or incorporate a Singapore private limited company, it is important to meet the following key requirements:
- Minimum of 1 shareholder, 1 resident director, 1 corporate secretary
- Local registered address
- Minimum paid-up capital of S$1
For non-resident shareholders and directors, the required documents include a copy of their passport, proof of residential address, and a bank reference letter. For resident shareholders and directors, a copy of their Singapore ID and passport (for foreign individuals) is needed. If the shareholder is a corporate entity, additional documents such as the parent company's certificate of incorporation and official documents reflecting the registered address and directors of the parent company are required.
